“See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse may happen to you” (John 5:14). Jesus just healed a man who was paralyzed for 38 years. Later on that day Jesus runs into this man again and tells him to quit sinning or something worse may happen. What could be worse than being unable to move? If we only focus on our short life here on earth then not much could be worse. But if we focus on a million years from now, sin is much, much worse. Why? Our antichrist choices separate us from God. We will either spend eternity with God or away from God. Every choice we make is either for/against God’s kingdom. We don’t have to be perfect because let’s face it, we can’t be. But are we being mindful of how we choose to live our life each day? Are we living to please Jesus or ourselves? How do we please Him?
There are two ways to do this:
1. Love God
2. Love People.
“Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.” -Peter 4:8
